JULY 7: A key delegation of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leaders from Chenab Valley comprising Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban districts held an important meeting with Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah at Srinagar today. The meeting was held under the leadership of Chenab Zone Zonal President Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo.
During the meeting, Dr. Farooq Abdullah emphasized the vital role of grassroots democracy and directed the party leadership to proactively mobilize and empower women and youth for meaningful participation in the local body elections.
He reiterated that the National Conference is committed to giving voice to the marginalized and strengthening democratic institutions from the grassroots level. The delegation included Zonal President (Chenab Zone) Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Senior Media Analyst Shahan Sajjad Kichloo, Provincial Secretary Jammu Arif Mir, DDC Chairperson Kishtwar Pooja Thakur, Block President (Batato) Raja Arshad Ali Mir, and Sarpanch Babu Lal Bandari. The leaders assured Dr. Abdullah of the party’s active presence and strengthening network across rural and urban belts of the Chenab region.
They briefed him about ongoing public outreach efforts and the prevailing political and developmental issues being faced by the people in their respective areas. Dr. Farooq Abdullah urged the team to uphold the party’s legacy of inclusive development and unity, and encouraged them to prepare with full dedication for the upcoming electoral challenges.
