JAMMU, March 3: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah enumerates the journey of Dr Manmohan Singh from the scratch during the Obituary References in J&K Legislative Assembly. Omar highlighted the role of Manmohan Singh towards eliminating licence permit and said when Singh became the Finance Minister of India his performance was phenomenal in taking India to new heights.
CM Omar recalls Singh’s contribution in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
He further said highlighted the development of Jagti Township which provided heave of relief to Kashmiri Pandits was initiative of PM Manmohan Singh.
“Several talked about rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits but key initiative was made certain in the regime of former PM late Manmohan Singh,” said Omar Abdullah.
Omar recalls quote of former PM late Manmohan Singh, “History will be better judge of me than contemporary times.”
CM Omar said that he learnt ample from PM late Manmohan Singh whose aim was to mitigate the woes of people.
