AUG 20: Delhi Police launched a search operation following around 50 schools received the bomb threats in the national capital on Wednesday.
It is learnt that the warning of explosions was received through e-mail, prompting Police and other security agencies to launch a search operation in this regard.
Some of the prominent schools that have got bomb threats include Rahul Model School and Maxfort School in Dwarka; SKV in Malviya Nagar; Andhra School in Prasad Nagar. Reports suggest, information regarding bomb threats at two schools, SKV in Malviya Nagar and Andhra School in Prasad Nagar, was received at 7.40 AM and 7.42 AM, respectively.
On the heels of this, Police teams, flanked by fire personnel, Bomb Disposal Squad and other security agencies cracked the school premises.
The latest threat comes just two days after at least 32 schools received similar threats on August 18 which later on turned out to be bogus.
The security has been beefed up and heavy deployment of forces have been inducted in the region to thwart any untoward action.
