Kathua: A woman from Rajbagh area of Kathua district has accused a local Patwari of indecent behavior, triggering a protest by locals demanding action against the official.

According to report, the woman alleged that the Patwari behaved inappropriately during a recent visit to his office regarding a land-related issue. Following the incident, she along with several supporters staged a protest outside the Patwari’s office, calling for justice and immediate action.
The protesters claimed that the accused Patwari had been misusing his position, causing distress to locals seeking official assistance. They urged higher authorities to conduct a fair investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, officials have assured that the complaint will be taken seriously. “We are aware of the allegations, and a proper inquiry has been initiated. Appropriate action will be taken based on the findings,” a senior official stated.
