JAMMU, 1 Feb: As Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2025-26 in Parliament, the National Conference (NC) has all praises for it.
In the usual political spectrum, opposition is always fault-finder but what makes everyone flabbergasted is its two prominent NC MLAs held the Union Budget 2025-26 in high regard.
NC MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar and NC MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq heap praises on the Union Budget 2025-26.
Salman Sagar spoke with The NEWS NOW and lauded the fact that new income tax slabs announced in Union Budget 2025-26 are pro to middle-class people. Salman Sagar expressed optimism from the budget and laid emphasis on the fact that it will most certainly generate good provisions for Jammu and Kashmir.
MLA Tanvir Sadiq in conversation with The NEWS NOW stated that the budget is balanced, progressive and people-friendly. Sadiq stressed upon the announcement as many as thirty-six life-saving drugs and medicines will now be exempted from customs duty. He said that plan to develop 50 tourist destinations across the country in collaboration with the state Governments.
Criticism is not always necessary, but evidently the two political outfits who are at the loggerheads have finally come on the same page. Besides, its legislative head incumbent Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has also been accused of being the mouthpiece of BJP in past. At several occasions, he has used the terminology of “Dual Powers in J&K” when it suits him.
Earlier, in the past several political personals including former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has blamed NC hand in glove with BJP. During the Legislative Assembly Elections 2024, Ghulam Nabi Azad had asserted that NC has espoused BJP in past and entered into alliance with saffron brigade.
