JAMMU, AUG 26: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience mostly hot and humid weather over the next several days, with rain and thundershowers expected at various places, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.
The latest forecast indicates that brief spells of rain and thunderstorms may occur during the early morning and afternoon hours from August 26 to 28.
From August 29 to 31, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at scattered to several locations. Some areas may also receive short spells of heavy rain, mainly during the morning and afternoon.
Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue on September 1 and 2, although isolated places may witness brief rain and thundershowers.
Between September 3 and 5, isolated areas are likely to receive brief spells of rain and thundershowers, while the overall weather is expected to remain warm and humid.
The Meteorological Centre has warned that intense rainfall over small areas could cause flash floods, mudslides and landslides, especially in vulnerable locations.
Farmers have been advised to continue harvesting and other agricultural activities while considering local weather conditions.
