Samba, Apr 11: A balloon bearing markings of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was discovered in the Garore area of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Saturday.
According to initial information, the balloon had the word “Pakistan” printed in English as well as inscriptions in Urdu. Local residents first noticed the object and promptly informed the police authorities.
A police team reached the spot soon after receiving the information and took the balloon into custody. Officials said necessary procedures have been initiated, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the origin and circumstances surrounding the recovery.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects or activities to the nearest police station.
