Jammu, October 29: FICCI FLO Jammu & Kashmir Chapter, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, successfully concluded the Run4Health Half Marathon 3.0 — an initiative aimed at spreading awareness about the ills of drug addiction and encouraging collective action toward its eradication.
Fulfilling the pledge made during the marathon, FICCI FLO JKL today handed over a cheque of ₹5,00,000 to the Jammu & Kashmir Police Drug De-Addiction & Rehabilitation and Mental Health Care Centre, Channi Himmat. The contribution marks a significant step in supporting the center’s efforts in the rehabilitation and mental well-being of individuals affected by substance abuse.
The cheque handover ceremony was graced by senior police officials including Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS, DIG Jammu), Joginder Singh (JKPS, SSP Jammu), Ajay Sharma (JKPS, SP South), and Irshad Rather (JKPS, SP Headquarters), along with the dedicated team of FICCI FLO JKL led by Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary.
The FLO core team comprising Varuna Anand (Past Chairperson), Ruchika Gupta (Immediate Past Chair), Varsha Bansal (Sr. Vice Chairperson), Rupika Sahay (Sr. Vice Chairperson), Sona Mehta (Treasurer), Kanupriya Garg (Event Director), Shipra Aggarwal (Joint Treasurer), Nandita Bajaj (Secretary), and Pooja Dewan (Joint Secretary) played an instrumental role in organizing the marathon and ensuring the success of this impactful initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary shared,
“Our motto for the Half Marathon was simple but powerful — Say No to Drugs and Yes to Life. Today, as we contribute to the noble work of the J&K Police in fighting addiction and rehabilitating lives, it fills us with immense pride and gratitude. This collaboration reflects our commitment to building a healthier and stronger society.”
The Run4Health Half Marathon has become one of FLO JKL’s flagship events, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to social responsibility, community wellness, and impactful partnerships that drive positive change.
