OCT 25: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah categorically stated that NC was betrayed in Rajya Sabha Polls and those black sheep are known to all.
At the sidelines of inauguration event, CM Omar Abdullah said that it is a bitter truth and grim situation.
CM Omar said, “But I don’t want to name those who betrayed as their names are known to almost everyone now.”
CM expressed gratitude to the members, especially Congress and others for casting ballot in favour of National Conference candidates.
“I am satiated with the fact that all votes from NC didn’t go in vain,” he said.
CM Omar added that those who were with NC in the meetings should have been straightforward with their decision to espouse the BJP.
“Like MLA Handwara Sajad Lone, who opted to abstain as he didn’t want to harm BJP, these members too should have openly upheld BJP,” Omar said.
CM Omar said that those leaders who been elected in the Rajya Sabha will hold accountability and raise the voice of J&K in the Parliament. “They will highlight issues like Statehood and special status, and other array of concerns,” CM said.
After meeting with officials of the Floriculture Department, CM Omar Abdullah concluded that if we can begin the tourist season early by opening the Tulip Garden, the Government can extend the season with the Gul-e-Dawood garden.
