AUG 8: Overnight blaze ripped through commercial cum residential building in Batergam area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the heels of this, a team of Police and Fire & Emergency Services personnel reached to the spot and doused the leaping flames.
In the course of the rescue operation, one fireman sustained minor injury.
Besides, one double-storeyed commercial cum residential building was damaged in this devastating incident. The building accommodated seven hardware shops on the ground floor and four residential rooms besides two hardware shops on the first floor.
Meanwhile, the cause of fire has not been ascertained yet and Police has rolled investigation in this regard.
