JUNE 10: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah reaches Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway Station on the Vande Bharat Express from Nowgam Railway Station and said our dream to connect J&K with the rest of country is fulfilled.
Dr Fraooq Abdullah hailed the engineering marvel and said that this is the biggest gift to connect Jammu and Kashmir with the entire country.
He added, “When I crossed Chenab Bridge, I had tears in my eyes as the day has arrived when people can travel to the country from Kashmir by train. I want to congratulate all the workers and engineers who built this bridge.”
National Conference stalwart said, “Former PM Manmohan Singh also contributed to this. Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee dreamt of coming to Kashmir by train. PM Modi completed this project. I want to thank the engineers who worked behind the highest bridge in the world. This will take tourism to new heights. Besides, the food provided on this train is very hygienic.”
Dr. Farooq Abdullah further said that this train will increase not just boost our tourism but trade as well.
