May 8: Amid the prevailing India-Pakistan tension, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting with Secretaries of various Ministries and Departments of Government of India to take stock of the national preparedness.
PM Modi laid emphasis on the need for seamless coordination among ministries and agencies.
It is learnt that PM Modi assessed the planning and preparation by ministries to deal with incumbent situation.
Secretaries, during the meeting, gave an account of their planning with the Government approach in the current situation.
Threadbare discussions were held on array of issues during the meeting including reinforcing civil defence mechanisms, efforts to counter misinformation and bogus news, and ensuring the security of critical infrastructure.
Besides, Cabinet Secretary, the meeting was attended by Secretaries from ministries including Defence, Home Affairs, External Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Power, Health, and Telecommunications.
