APRIL 17: On Thursday, former Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan hailed Kashmir’s youth and said they have unparallel passion for Cricket but lack the requisite opportunities and infrastructural facilities to grow.
Pathan said this during the press conference about the launch of EPIC Victory Cricket League (EVCL) in Srinagar.
“I have observed the fire in left-arm pacer from Kupwara, boys from Baramulla but what they lack is proper exposure,” Pathan said.
He added that EPIC Victory Cricket League is an ideal platform for young cricketers to revive their skills and take sportsmanship to the next level. This will not only prove a beneficial young cricketers from J&K but from states like Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
“This is not just a tournament, however, a podium to transform lives,” he said.
The former all-rounder also laid emphasis on the immediate requirement need for better Cricket infrastructure in Kashmir.
