Srinagar, April 16: Demonstrating exceptional determination and resilience, a visually impaired student from Srinagar has achieved remarkable success in the recently declared CBSE Class 10 examinations by securing 95 per cent marks, inspiring students across the region.
Zainab Bilal, a resident of Badshah Nagar, Natipora in Srinagar, scored 475 marks out of 500, proving that physical challenges cannot limit success when combined with dedication and perseverance. Her achievement has emerged as a source of motivation, especially for students facing similar obstacles.
Reacting to her result, Zainab said she had expected a good outcome but was pleasantly surprised by her outstanding performance, noting that CBSE examinations are generally considered challenging.
She attributed her success to the continuous support of her parents, teachers, and school administration. Zainab said her family, including her parents and grandfather, stood by her at every stage of her education. She also expressed gratitude to her teachers at Delhi Public School, Srinagar, for fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
Highlighting the contribution of the school’s Learning Resource Centre (LRC), she said the centre provided both academic assistance and emotional support, which played a significant role in her achievement.
Looking to the future, Zainab expressed her desire to build a career in the field of Information Technology (IT) and pursue higher studies in computer-related courses, such as a Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).
Sharing a message for fellow students, she emphasised the importance of consistency in studies and encouraged them to remain focused despite challenges. She also urged parents of specially-abled children to continue believing in their children’s abilities and provide them with unwavering support.
