Jammu: The upcoming “Waste to Wonder Park” in Jammu is set to be a Pan-India model for similar parks, showcasing 14 monumental replicas from around the world, India, and Jammu, all crafted from waste materials such as iron pipes, machine parts, metal sheets, e-waste, and used rubber tyres.
This innovative project aims to promote sustainable waste management while offering a unique tourism experience.
The park will feature famous international structures such as the Todaji Temple of Japan, the White House of the USA, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, the Colosseum of Italy, the Sphinx of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower, and Bhutan’s Taksang Monastery. National monuments, including the Golden Temple, Statue of Unity, Kedarnath, and the Taj Mahal, will also be replicated. Additionally, the park will include replicas of local monuments like the Akhnoor Fort, Chenab Valley Bridge, and Krimchi Temples.
The unique park will be developed over 40 kanals of land in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, with Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) overseeing the project.
A report quoting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JSCL, Devansh Yadav, confirmed that the tender for the project will be floated soon, with work set to commence in mid-April.
This sustainable initiative aims to utilize construction and demolition waste sourced from various locations, contributing to eco-friendly tourism and waste management solutions in the region.
The park is expected to be a major attraction for both tourists and locals, providing a green and educational space for visitors of all ages.
