MAY 14: On Wednesday, Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Railways, and Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw hailed “Operation Sindoor” and heaped praises on the armed forces for displaying indomitable spirit and selfless service to nation.
While speaking to press, Vaishnaw said, “’Operation Sindoor’ signifies India’s identity and the imperative the role played by our armed forces, and the decisive leadership of PM Narendra Modi.”
Ashwani Vaishnaw apprised about the Union Cabinet’s approval of a semiconductor manufacturing unit in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.
He said that it will be a joint venture between HCL and Foxconn and will be set up near the Jewar airport whose production will commence in 2027.
Enumerating the positives of technology, Union Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw said, “PM Modi has been asking us to focus on the eco-system since the beginning… Manufacturers of gases, chemicals are establishing their plants in India… The use of science and technology was also made in Operation Sindoor. Technology gives a huge strength to India and lays a strong foundation for the future. In this series, historic steps worth Rs. 1 lakh 25 thousand crores have been taken in PM Modi’s third term.”
