AUG 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Jammu for two days on August 31 and September 1, 2025.
As per the reports, Union Minister Amit Shah’s visit comes following the torrential rains that triggered flash floods in Jammu resulting in widespread damage and devastation.
It is learnt that Union Minister Shah will have an aerial survey of flood-hit areas in Jammu and may announce a financial package for the victims.
On May 29, Amit Shah visited Jammu to take assessment of security and Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra post “Operation Sindoor.”
Meanwhile, Meteorological Department Srinagar has issued an advisory of inclement weather across Jammu and Kashmir till September 6.
Earlier, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was slated to visit Paddar in Kishtwar following the cloudburst in the district. However, the visit was cancelled owing to challenging weather conditions.
