MAY 19: Security forces on Monday apprehended two terrorist associates in Shopian district.
In a joint operation led by Indian Army’s 34 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group (SOG) Shopian, and CRPF 178 Battalion, two terrorist associates were arrested in DK Pora area of Shopian district, Jammu and Kashmir.
It is learnt that cache of arms and ammunition like two pistols, four grenades, 43 live rounds and other incriminating material was recovered from their possession.
An FIR in this regard has been registered and further investigation is underway.
Notably, this marks the unwavering commitment of the security forces towards dismantling the terror networks.
Pertinent to mention, on May 13, three terrorists affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in an encounter in Shopian district.
