Reasi, Sep 14: Two people were killed and several others injured after a passenger matador overturned near Bakkal Tunnel in Reasi district on Monday morning.
According to officials, the vehicle was travelling from Bakkal towards Reasi when it met with the accident. The matador, bearing registration number JK14B-2973, reportedly overturned after one of its tyres burst.
Two passengers died at the scene, while several others suffered injuries in the accident.
Following the incident, local residents and police personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway.
