MARCH 24: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that to eliminate militancy from J&K, cooperation of people is mandatory.
“Militancy cannot be rooted out devoid the involvement of people,” said CM Omar.
While speaking to media, Omar Abdullah said that law and order is not in the hands of elected Government but NC-led Government is lending helping hand so that situation remains under control.
CM said that no contact has been established by Army with militants in Kathua, adding, search and cordon operation in underway after the suspicious movement.
Answering a question posed by journalist, Omar said that Muslims carry out charitable activities through Waqf but the board is being targeted.
