Srinagar, Apr 21: Kashmir Jurists Association, in collaboration with Government Women’s College MA Road, on Monday launched a “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” awareness campaign, with students taking out a rally against drug abuse and pledging to promote a drug-free society.
Carrying placards highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse, a large number of students actively participated in the rally, raising slogans and spreading awareness about the growing menace of drugs among youth. The programme aimed to educate students and the general public about the dangers of addiction and encourage them to lead healthy, responsible lives.
During the event, students shared their concerns over the increasing use of drugs among youngsters. One student said that drug addiction is harming the physical, mental, and social health of individuals and poses a serious threat to society if timely action is not taken.
Organizers stated that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to create awareness, strengthen community participation, and work collectively towards building a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
