JUNE 5: Security has been beefed up in Katra and Udhampur ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s visit to flag off Vande Bharat train between Katra and Srinagar.
Heavy deployment of forces has been done as a heightened security measure at Udhampur Railway Station ahead of PM Modi’s visit.
Additionally, the frisking drive has been intensified at the Katra Railway Station in view of the upcoming visit. Police inspections at adjacent corridors are underway to thwart any nefarious design aimed to disrupt the peace of the region.
PM Modi will inaugurate the Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, and flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Katra and Srinagar.
Pertinent to mention, security has been intensified owing to PM Modi’s visit to J&K scheduled on June 6 for the inauguration of Chenab bridge and flagging off Vande Bharat Trains.
Moreover, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over Rs 46,000 crore in J&K.
