The incident occurred late at night, leaving the owner shocked and prompting immediate action to trace the vehicle.
The owner reported that the theft came to light early in the morning around 8:00 AM when he noticed the auto missing.
The vehicle had been parked outside his house at around 2:00 AM after returning from a family function. Suspicious of the situation, the owner and his family began searching the area, eventually filing a police complaint.
With the help of the police and local surveillance, the auto was traced to Rajiv Nagar, where it was found abandoned due to an empty fuel tank.
The owner expressed gratitude to the police and media for their assistance, acknowledging their support in resolving the matter.
While sharing his ordeal, the owner also highlighted a concerning pattern of thefts in the area, urging authorities to investigate thoroughly.
“This is not the first incident in this area. A similar theft occurred a year ago, and it is alarming to see such crimes happening repeatedly,” he said.
The owner appealed to the authorities to apprehend the culprits behind the theft and improve security in the locality.
“If we, as common citizens, can trace a stolen auto, the police can surely catch the thieves. We request strict action to ensure such incidents don’t happen to others,” he added.
The incident has raised concerns among the residents about safety and the increasing prevalence of thefts in the area.
The owner also shared that the stolen auto was under a loan of ₹1,20,000, making the recovery a significant relief for the family.
Local residents now hope that the police will take swift action to nab the culprits and ensure better security in the area to prevent further crimes.
