APRIL 10: Following the encounter between the security forces and militants, search and cordon operation was in progress in the Marta village of Udhampur district.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur, Amod Ashok Nagpure, apprised in this regard.
“Since this is an inaccessible area and two to three terrorists are hiding in the middle of forest,” said SSP Nagpure.
“This search operation is underway in this regard,” SSP Nagpure said.
In the current times, the soldiers have been deployed in the region to thwart the untoward activity and ensure tranquil atmosphere. The area has been cordoned to stop the terrorists from fleeing.
Pertinent to mention, in the recent times, the Kathua encounter left 4 cops martyred and 2 terrorists gunned down.
