JULY 26: Swept with spiritual serenity and brimmed with enthusiasm, a fresh batch of over 2,300 Amarnath Pilgrims depart from Jammu for the holy shrine nestled in South Kashmir’s Himalayas.

It is learnt that the 24th batch including 2,324 pilgrims left from the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu for the twin routes in shorter of 14-km in Baltal of Ganderbal district and traditional route of 48-km Pahalgam of Anantnag district.

The batch embarked on the Amarnath pilgrimage amid tight security cover of CRPF and Police.

Pertinent to mention, the Yatra was flagged off by LG Manoj Sinha on July 3 from Jammu.

Since fews days, the decrease in the footcount has been witnessed owing to the melting of naturally formed ice-shivlingam.

As of now, over 3.5 lakh devotees have paid obeisance at the shrine of Baba Barfani this year.

The holy pilgrimage is scheduled to culminate on August 9, 2025.
