May 13: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said “Kathua is possibly the first district in India to implement the concept of Family Bunkers for people living along the International Border—over 2,000 family bunkers built in the last 6–7 years. This was possible because PM Narendra Modi.”
He added, “This was possible because PM Narendra Modi was always forthcoming to meet each and every demand of border dwellers.”
Singh also said “The utility and worth of these Family Bunkers was realised during “Operation Sindoor” on public demand today, construction of 600 more such bunkers is being undertaken immediately.”
“To further strengthen preparedness, a centralized automated siren system is being set up to instantly alert all border villages in times of emergency,” said Dr Jitendra Singh.
“Soon after Operation Sandoor began, 39 medical ambulances were deployed across district Kathua, to ensure swift medical response for border residents,” said Dr Jitendra Singh.
