Ex-SP cheated, DGP office directs SHO Domana to probe land mafia

Jammu: The office of the Director General of Police, DGP, on Wednesday directed Station House Officer, Domana, to investigate the matter after a retired Superintendent of Police, SP, was cheated at the hand of influential person, presently working in the Government College for Engineering and Technology.
Official sources said that DGP office Jammu vide Cit/ PH-89/Jammu/2022/26880 dated 28-06-22 issued direction to the SHO Police Station Domana after retired SP namely Bader Hussain of Gurah Brahmna Bantalab, Jammu knocked the door of the PHQ stating that one Karim Baksh son of Farman Ali of Gurha Brahmana, Bantalab, (working as government employee in GECT Jammu) cheated him.
Official sources said that the alleged accused who is the owner of land measuring 03 marlas situated at villiage Gurha Brahmana Bantalab, tehsil North district Jammu had executed a sale agreement of said piece of land against the total cost of Rs.7 lacs, out of which an amount of Rs. 20,000 were paid to him in cash before two days of the agreement. It is stated that on the date of agreement i,e 19.01.2021 cheque bearing 115405 amounting to Rs 2.00 Lacs were extended on accused’s name making in total Rs.2.20 lacs in advance.
“ As per the agreement the owner of the land has made bond to provide the Fard Intikhab of land in question to retired SP . When the aggrieved SP had called the land owner alongwith his father Farman Ali in the house of one retired DySP namely Misri Khan at Bantalab alongwith two witnesses namely Haji Maqbool son of Réhamat Ali and Abdul Rashid both resident of Bantalab the land owner and his father refused to sell the same. They even did not provide the Fard Intikhab by saying that they would not sold said land. They, howver, assured retired SP his advance payment would be returned to him in double, but it did not happen”, a senior police officer said.

He said that the retired SP knocked the door of the police station and even other senior police officers but all went vain. He later knocked the door of the Police Headquarters promting officials in DGP chamber to issue direction to the police station for investigation and acting on the directions Domana police have lodgd a case vide FIR NO 404 U/S 420 IPC and starts investigation.
