Body of nonlocal found in Kashmir

Srinagar: Body of an unsound non-local person with head injury was found in mysterious circumstances at Janglatmandi in South Kashmir district of Anantnag on Friday.
Meanwhile, police have ruled out any militant hand in the incident and registered the case in this matter.
Official sources said, the body of an unidentified non-local, allegedly unsound with mind, with a severe head injury was found by locals at Shamshan Gath Bilal Colony near Janglatmandi who informed the police accordingly.
The police reached the spot and took the body in custody, the sources said and added, however, it was not clear what kind of weapon with which the deceased received severe head injury and died.
They said the man used to roam in the area and was said to be unsound, taking almas from the people for survival.
Meanwhile, Police has ruled out any militant-related angle in the death of mentally unsound non-local in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
In a statement police said that an unidentified dead body was found under the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag.
The deceased was a destitute surviving of alms collected from the area it said and added that the deceased had a head injured likely received by a sharp object.
Further investigations are in progress, the police added.
