Naxal nabbed in Chhattisgarh
Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, Sep 14: A Maoist carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh has been arrested in Golgunda area by a patrol team comprising personnel of the district force, Special Task Force and Central Reserve Police Force.
“Moti Ram Awlam – who was apprehended late Monday – stands accused of the 2016 Pidmel attack on an STF search party, which resulted in the death of five personnel. He also allegedly ambushed a road-opening party the following year, triggered serial blasts and opened fire,” Superintendent of Police K Kashyap said on Tuesday.
