PSLV-C51 successfully injects Amazonia-1 in orbit

Sriharikota, Feb 28: In a textbook launch, India's home grown rocket PSLV-C51, in one of the longest missions that will last close to two hours, successfully launched the 637 kg Brazil's Amazonia-1 satellite from the SDSC Centre, SHAR Range, here on Sunday.

After a successful 22.5 hour countdown, the 44.4 m tall PSLV-C51 took off majestically fro the First Launch Pad at 1024 hrs, amid clear skies.
