APRIL 9: Following the adjournment of J&K Legislative Assembly for the third consecutive day, MLA Doda Mehraj Malik was manhandled by BJP and PDP legislators outside the House.
The scene unfolded as Mehraj Malik hurling barbs at PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed even as accusing BJP MLAs for turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir.
Bhartiya Janata Party MLAs and People’s Democratic Party MLAs were on the verge of physically lashing out and promptly were thwarted by Marshals and other security officers outside the Assembly.
In the meantime, Mehraj Malik slipped on the glass table which shattered and again stood up.
The exchange of barbs and abusive language was witnessed in the scene outside the Legislative Assembly.
The legislators elected by the people of Jammu and Kashmir reflected the image of goons for a while.
