Jammu, November 3: As part of the ongoing Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-26, the Jammu and Kashmir Police today undertook a series of developmental and infrastructure enhancement works at the Government High School, Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu. The initiative is aimed at improving educational facilities and strengthening community-police relations through meaningful public welfare activities.
Under the programme, works executed included the construction of a concrete underground water tank, installation of new student desks, and floor tiling of classrooms, thereby enhancing the overall learning environment and hygiene facilities for the students. The improvements are expected to provide long-term benefits to both students and staff by ensuring better infrastructure and amenities.
The initiative was supervised by Shri Raj Singh Gouria JKPS, Co IRP 18TH BN, Shri Koushal Kaushal Kumar, SP Dy. Commandant, along with other officers and personnel of IRP 18th Battalion, who actively participated in the developmental activities. Speaking on the occasion, Dy CO emphasized that the Civic Action Programme is an important outreach initiative of J&K Police aimed at building trust and cooperation between the police and the public. By addressing local needs in education, health, and community development,
the force continues to reinforce its role as a people-friendly and service-oriented organization.
The local school authorities and residents of the area expressed their gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, particularly to the personnel of IRP 18th Battalion, for their thoughtful contribution. The gesture was widely appreciated as a step towards fostering goodwill, strengthening community engagement, and creating a more supportive environment for students.
