MAY 6: Former J&K Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday wrote a letter to LG Manoj Sinha demanding the release of Kashmiris detained following the Pahalgam carnage.

Mehbooba Mufti highlighted the efforts of local Kashmiris in shielding the tourists during Pahalgam terror attack.

PDP stalwart called the actions of agencies stern and completely focused on pursecution of the locals.

“Over 3,000 arrests and nearly 100 PSA detentions have been done since Pahalgam bloodshed which reflect collective form of punishment,” she added.

Mehbooba Mufti in the letter to LG Manoj Sinha said, it is quite disheartening that action of few terrorists have made the Kashmiris suffered now.

Mehbooba urged LG Manoj Sinha to intervene and ensure the release of innocent Kashmiris.

“I humbly urge you to intervene in the matter of detainees and set free all the innocents. Let the Kashmiris heave a sigh of relief and prepare to welcome the Yatris with proper hospitality,” Mehbooba Mufti to LG Sinha.
