Poonch, May 30: A live shell was recovered by police near Jagar Park in Poonch town on Saturday after it was spotted by a local resident during a morning walk, officials said.
According to officials, the resident noticed the suspicious object lying in the area and promptly informed the police. Acting on the information, a police team reached the location and secured the site before recovering the shell.
Officials said the explosive will be safely defused in accordance with standard safety procedures to eliminate any potential risk to the public.
