Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot, cordoned off the area and Live Shell was defused without inflicting harm
AUG 28: A Live shell was found and subsequently defused by the experts in Samba district on Thursday.
It is learnt that the Live Shell was noticed by the Motliyan villagers in Devak river at Parmandal Block in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
This triggered panic among the villagers, who, on the heels of spotting informed the Police about it.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reached the spot, cordoned off the area and Live Shell was neutralized without inflicting harm.
A major tragedy was averted by the Police, and an investigation in this regard has been launched.
The swift and safe action has added a feather to the cap of Police and reflects the unwavering commitment of its personnel in ensuring tranquility in the region.
