Srinagar, April 16: A fresh Western Disturbance is set to influence weather conditions across Kashmir, with the strongest impact likely in North Kashmir districts, followed by areas including Srinagar, Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Kulgam, and Shopian. The system is expected to reach its peak intensity on April 18 and 19.
According to weather forecasts, many parts of the Valley may experience intermittent moderate to heavy rainfall, while northern regions could see comparatively intense weather activity beginning tomorrow and lasting through April 19. Higher altitude areas are also likely to receive fresh snowfall during this spell.
There is a possibility of thunderstorms, hail events, and strong winds at isolated locations, which may lead to short-term disruptions. However, forecasters indicate that rainfall is expected to occur in phases rather than as a prolonged continuous spell.
