JULY 16: In a tragic and dreadful incident, two people died and several others sustained injuries after vehicle ferrying them met with an accident in Drass in Kargil.
As per the reports, the overspeeding vehicle lost control at a sharp turn resulting in the skidding of the vehicle wherein two persons lost lives while others were injured.
The injured were evacuated to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Drass and later referred to District Hospital (DH) Kargil for treatment of multiple injuries.
On the heels of the incident, prompt rescue operation was launched by Police, Army, and civil administration.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated investigation in this regard.
