Jammu,May 25: Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha celebrations, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a one-day Special Casual Leave for employees of the Union Territory on May 29, 2026 (Friday).
The decision was issued through an official order by the General Administration Department (GAD), allowing employees to observe the religious occasion.
As per the order signed by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju (IAS), the special leave will be available to employees who wish to avail themselves of the holiday for Eid-ul-Azha.
The government has also circulated the order among Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners, and other concerned authorities for implementation and further communication.
