AUG 29: The 3rd Additional Munsiff, Jammu, has restrained Daily Excelsior, Early Times, State Times, Cross Town News, The Times of India and The Indian Express from publishing unverified reports on FIR concerning Mannan Anand, accused of rash driving and attempt to murder in the “Thar case.”
The order came on a suit filed by his father Rajinder Anand through counsel Adv. Sarvesh Kotwal & Ranbir Singh Associates, alleging that sensational media coverage was conducting a “parallel trial” and tarnishing his son’s reputation. The case is next listed on September 3, 2025.
