Kupwara, October 17: Security forces foiled a suspected infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jumgund area of Keran sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday morning.
According to sources, alert troops detected suspicious movement near the LoC during the early hours and challenged the suspected infiltrators. The incident was followed by a brief exchange of fire.
A search operation has been launched in the area to trace any suspected infiltrators, sources said.
