Anantnag , April 25 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spokesperson Iltija Mufti on Saturday said that the party is currently passing through a very difficult phase and appealed to workers to stay united and continue supporting the organisation.
The statement came during a district-level workers’ convention held at Dak Banglow, Anantnag, which was attended by former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti along with other senior party leaders. Thousands of party workers from across the district participated in the convention.
After the convention, while speaking to the media outside the venue, Iltija Mufti said that Jammu and Kashmir is facing serious challenges, particularly unemployment and growing disappointment among the youth.
She stated that many young people in the region are struggling to find jobs and are losing hope due to limited employment opportunities. She also criticised the ruling National Conference, alleging that the party has not taken sufficient steps to tackle the unemployment issue.
Iltija Mufti further expressed concern over the status of the Urdu language, claiming that Urdu has been removed from revenue record, which she described as a worrying development for the region.
She urged party workers to remain committed and work together to strengthen the party during this challenging period.
