Jammu, August 29: In a spirit of service and solidarity, the Women Wing of Gandhi Global Family (GGF) Jammu organised a Langar Seva at Mangu Chak, reaching out to the families severely affected by recent floods. The initiative was aimed at providing immediate relief and support to the distressed community.
Along with serving freshly prepared langar, the team also distributed sanitary napkins, biscuits, candles, matchsticks and other essential items to the affected households. These efforts were directed towards not only meeting the immediate food needs of families but also ensuring their dignity, health and safety during these testing times.
Padam Shri Dr. S. P. Varma, Lt. General Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Alka Sharma, Summi Sahi, Punit Kour, Inderdeep Singh, Manohar, Jaswinder Kuku and other members were present there.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the GGF Women Wing expressed their commitment to stand with the people in crisis and highlighted the importance of community-driven relief efforts. They reiterated that such initiatives strengthen the bond of humanity and inspire others to contribute selflessly.
The affected families expressed gratitude for the timely support extended by the organisation. GGF Women Wing assured that their relief measures will continue in other affected areas as well.
