MAY 23: The encounter between security forces and terrorists is underway for the second day in Chatroo in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is learnt that one soldier made the supreme sacrifice in the ongoing gunfight in Kishtwar.
“During the ongoing operation, fierce gunfight is continuing. One of our bravehearts sustained grievous injuries in the exchange of fire and has succumbed despite best medical efforts. Operation is in progress,” said White Knight Corps in a post.
Pertinent to mention, the encounter broke out in early hours of Thursday and a joint team of Indian Army, Paramilitary Forces and J&K Police were on the spot fight terrorists.
Induction of more troops was done to neutralize the terrorists. Besides, three-four JeM terrorists are believed to be trapped.
