APRIL 14: On Monday, J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi raised concerns over the decline in Hajj quota by Saudi Arabia for the current year.
Dr Andrabi said that the BJP-led central Government will take up the issue with Saudi authorities.
While talking to reporters, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said, “The Hajj slots are determined by Saudi Government. The Ministry of External Affairs has discussed this matter with the Saudi authorities.”
Pertinent to mention, Saudi Arabia has considered umpteen control features for Hajj-2025 which underpins new travel restrictions and suspension of visa issuances to over dozen countries including India.
Dr Andrabi laid emphasis on the fact that the central government has comprehended the situation and ensure scrutiny which will ensure favourable situation for Muslims.
