APRIL 25: With regular complaints coming from pan India about the persecution of Kashmiri students following the Pahalgam bloodshed, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken crucial steps by sending Cabinet Ministers to various parts of country.
In a post on social media site ‘X’, CM Omar Abdullah wrote, “With a view to instilling a sense of security among our students and businessmen currently in other states, I have deputed my Cabinet Ministers to various cities across the country. The purpose of these visits is to coordinate efforts with the respective State Governments and ensure the safety and well-being of J&K residents.”
CM Omar Abdullah added, “The J&K Government will stand with its people—anywhere, everywhere.”
It is learnt that Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary has been deputed to Maharashtra, Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo to Punjab Chandigarh, Javed Dar to Himachal Pradesh, Javed Ahmed Rana to Lucknow, and Satish Sharma to Dehradun.
