The principals of the nearest Higher Secondary Schools have been asked to monitor the management committees of 215 schools affiliated to Jamat-E-Islami and Falah-e-Aam Trust: Itoo

AUG 23: Amid much hue and cry regarding the management of 215 schools affiliated to Jamat-E-Islami and Falah-e-Aam Trust (FAT) taken over by the Government, Minister for Education Sakina Itoo cleared the air, and refuted the rumours of the Government overseeing management of these schools.
Following the order issued by the Secretary School Education Department (SED) on Friday that bats for the managing committee of the 215 JeI and FAT schools to be overseen by Deputy Commissioners, Minister Sakina Itoo conciliated and reiterated that Government is not managing these schools.
Itoo said after the National Conference Government came into power, parents and teachers of these schools raised the concern that verification of the management committee of these schools was not given to CID and this could jeopardize the career of the children.
“With verification of management committees nil and pending, problems popped up for the students during the registration for 9th to 12th examination. Later, the forms were issued by the Board of School Education,” Minister said.
“Approx 51,000 students were enrolled in these schools who were on the verge of facing risk as validity of the committees of these schools had expired, and to safeguard the career of these students, the principal of the nearest Higher Secondary School was asked to monitor the management committees,” Itoo said.
She emphasized, “This adjustment will be pressed in for only three months, following which the review will be taken in this regard. And then, new managing committee will be formed with CID verification.”
Minister Sakina Itoo clarified since, the tenure of previous committees has ended, the principals will look after the institutes rather than the Government.
