DDC Ramban reviews availability of essential commodities at Batote

RAMBAN, DECEMBER. 13: District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today visited Batote and convened an emergency meeting of district and sectoral officers besides inspecting road clearance operations and obtaining public feedback in this regard.
DDC was accompanied by the SSP, Anita Sharma, ADC, Ashok Kumar, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD and CMO besides senior officers of concerned departments.
During the meeting, DDC reviewed the status of availability of essential commodities and restoration of essential services. He directed the officers to start restoration work of water and power supply on war footing besides ensuring availability of essential commodities especially in snow bound areas.
DDC also took stock of snow and road clearance operations on national highway and link roads and directed the concerned officers to restore all the roads as early as possible. He directed to all officers to keep their men and machineries on high alert in view of the snow prediction for the next few days.
He also interacted with the public and listened to their grievances including availability of Ration, LPG, Kerosene oil, water and power supply and passed on spot directions for its redressal.
Later, the DDC visited Sher-e-Kashmir Memorial Emergency Hospital Batote to assess the availability of medical services, heating arrangements, punctuality of staff and patient care at the health institute especially during ongoing snow season.
He inspected wards of the hospital and checked the availability of medicines and facilities being provided to the patients in hospital.
