Jammu, Feb 27: BJP national general secretary and in-charge J&K Tarun Chugh Tuesday stated that the party set a target of 370 seats for it in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls to commemorate the abrogation of Article 370, which was a stumbling block – a spot obstructing development of J&K.

“Three families had made Kashmir into the ‘capital of terrorism.’ However, the present government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is developing it as a “tourism capital.” These three families (Muftis, Abdullahs and Gandhis) for their vested interests had pushed Kashmir into the vortex of violence. Following it, peace is returning to J&K and it is witnessing inclusive development at a large scale,” he said, while addressing a press conference at the party office here.

While responding to the queries of media persons, he said that the BJP workers not only worked hard to bring back peace and development in J&K but also laid down their lives for it.

“In this backdrop, In J&K, the party would organize programmes at 370 locations covering 285 blocks. The party has set a mission for it to collect 1 crore suggestions for its “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Patra” from across the country by March 15.
