Doda admin launches drive against traffic rule violators

DC for regular checking of passenger vehicles

DODA, November 19: The district administration Doda, in its endeavours towards curtailing frequent road accidents in the district, has launched an extensive drive against the traffic rule violators.
The drive, initiated in collaboration with traffic police department is being conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode.
In this regard, DC conducted surprise checking of passenger vehicles on the adjoining link roads of Doda town yesterday and seized the documents of an overloaded vehicle for action under MVD Act.
DC also convened a meeting with the authorities of traffic management department and MVD and asked them to take strict action against the erring passenger vehicles to ensure safety of commuters.
DC asked the authorities to conduct regular inspection of all the passenger vehicles with special focus on fitness of vehicles.
