DC Srinagar visits various rural areas to assess availability of essential services

Interacts with locals, assures of addressing all genuine concerns


SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 11: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Monday conducted an extensive tour of various rural areas of the district reviewing availability of essential services there.
The DC visited various areas including Panthachowk, Lasjan, Khonmoh, Zevan and Wevan and inspected developmental projects.
He held extensive interactions with locals of these areas taking feedback about essential services restoration following snowfall and discussing several areas of developmental concern. The local flagged concerns affecting the general population of the area.
The DC issued on-the-spot instructions aimed at resolution of several concerns assuring that all other longstanding concerns as raised on the occasion will be addressed at the earliest possible.
He assured that a meeting of concerned departments will be called and a comprehensive plan formulated to address all genuine concerns of these areas.
Dr Shahid said that the district administration is keen on offering all rural areas of the district every kinds of possible support for improvement in essential services delivery and overall growth of these areas.
Joint Director Planning Srinagar and senior officers from concerned departments accompanied the DC on the occasion.
